Law schools and law professors are under great pressure to change, to better prepare their students for the rigors of practice. The Context and Practice (C&P) series is designed to make it easy for law professors to change by integrating best teaching and learning practices and law practice-focused exercises.
Decades of data exist about how to train students to be self-directed, successful learners. The C&P series applies this research to the law school world to produce the most teachable materials available for law students.
C&P deals with the reality that law students can move towards mastery when the teaching materials engage them and provide the help they need to master the concepts. Traditional casebooks are mostly cases and textual material. C&P casebooks meet students halfway, accommodating their need for context, for authenticity, and for guidance.
